To capitalize on this momentum, the Royal Government of Cambodia has launched the Cambodia Industry Transformation Map for the Textile and Apparel Industry (2023–2027). This forward-looking strategy aims to shift the country’s garment sector from a low-cost, labor-intensive model toward a more diversified and value-added ecosystem. National initiatives are being introduced to integrate lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodologies across factories, aiming to boost operational efficiency and reduce waste. The government is also partnering with educational institutions to enhance vocational training programs that meet the evolving needs of the textile and apparel sector.
